The Rivers Trusts that are members of Afonydd Cymru are involved in the delivery of a wide range of activities. These activities fall under the broad categories of Conservation, Education, Fisheries and River Invertebrate Monitoring. Please look at the specific pages on this site to see what activities are taking place under each of these areas of work.

For the most part Afonydd Cymru and its member Rivers Trusts rely on volunteers to carry out project work ~ these are people that freely give their time to protect and restore waterways, wetlands and wildlife across Wales. Our volunteers undertake a fantastic amount of work and without them delivery of improvement projects would not be possible. But there is much to be done and each Rivers Trust needs to recruit more volunteers in order to increase the capacity for project delivery.
