North Wales Rivers Trust

The North Wales Rivers Trust was established in 2007 from an amalgamation of the existing Clwyd and Elwy Conservation Trust and the Conservation bodies representing the Conwy. The Trust was awarded Charitable Status in January 2009.

The Objectives of the Trust

  • Promote awareness of environmental issues and best river management practice.
  • Promote recreational and leisure enjoyment of rivers, lakes and wetlands.
  • Undertake research and practical work to maintain, restore and enhance environmental habitats within the two catchments of the Clwyd and Conwy.
