Mae Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru heddiw wedi cyhoeddi\u2019r asesiad cyntaf ar lefel gwlad o amgylcheddau daearol, d\u0175r croyw a morol Cymru.<\/p>\n

Yn cwmpasu\u2019r cyfnod 2019\u20132024 ac wedi\u2019i gynhyrchu o dan Reoliad 9A o Reoliadau Cadwraeth Cynefinoedd a Rhywogaethau 2017, mae\u2019r asesiad yn rhoi gwell dealltwriaeth inni o gyflwr gwael amgylchedd naturiol Cymru, gan gynnwys ei hafonydd.<\/p>\n

Dylid llongyfarch y rheoleiddiwr am gynhyrchu adroddiad sy\u2019n glir, yn gryno, wedi\u2019i ysgrifennu\u2019n dda ac wedi\u2019i gyflwyno\u2019n broffesiynol.<\/p>\n

Fel y gellid disgwyl, mae\u2019r asesiad yn peri pryder mawr ar gyfer cynefinoedd a rhywogaethau d\u0175r croyw Cymru. Ac i bysgod yn arbennig, nid yw\u2019r adroddiad hwn yn cynnig unrhyw ryddhad o\u2019r asesiadau digalon a wnaed eisoes ar boblogaethau eog a sewin Cymru.<\/p>\n

O\u2019r naw poblogaeth o rywogaethau pysgod a aseswyd (lampreys m\u00f4r, afon a nant; si\u00e2d allis a thwaite; eog yr Iwerydd; grugieir d\u0175r, gwyniaid [Gwyniad] a phenwaig), roedd pob un mewn cyflwr anfafriol, gyda thair yn cael eu dosbarthu fel \u201cdrwg\u201d.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Ni wnaeth rhywogaethau dyfrol eraill wneud yn well. Cafodd cregyn perl d\u0175r croyw a chrancod d\u0175r croyw crafangau gwynion eu dosbarthu fel anfafriol\/drwg, a\u2019r llysiau\u2019r afon fel anfafriol\/annigonol.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Yr unig rywogaethau d\u0175r croyw a aseswyd a gafodd eu dosbarthu fel ffafriol oedd dyfrgwn a brogaod cyffredin.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Ac o\u2019r chwe chynefin d\u0175r croyw a aseswyd, roedd pedwar yn anfafriol\/drwg ac un yn anfafriol\/annigonol. Dim ond un a gafwyd mewn statws da.<\/p>\n

Pwysau ar Rhywogaethau a Chynefinoedd D\u0175r Croyw<\/h3>\n

Yn ogystal \u00e2 chyflwr, edrychodd yr asesiad hefyd ar y pwysau sy\u2019n effeithio ar y rhywogaethau a\u2019r cynefinoedd hyn. Ac roedd yn amlwg pa sector oedd fwyaf amlwg yn hyn o beth.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Canfuwyd mai amaethyddiaeth oedd y pwysau a adroddwyd amlaf ar rywogaethau. O ran pwysau a raddiwyd yn uchel ac yn ganolig, roedd arferion amaethyddol yn effeithio ar 44 o\u2019r 53 o rywogaethau a aseswyd.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Yn benodol ar gyfer pysgod, roedd amaethyddiaeth yn bwysau a raddiwyd yn uchel ar gyfer chwech o\u2019r naw rhywogaeth.<\/p>\n

Roedd coedwigaeth a newid hinsawdd hefyd yn bwysau mawr, gan effeithio ar 29 a 26 o rywogaethau yn y drefn honno pan gyfuniwyd pwysau a raddiwyd yn uchel ac yn ganolig.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Roedd arferion sy\u2019n gysylltiedig ag amaethyddiaeth hefyd yn bwysau mawr ar gynefinoedd. Fe wnaethant effeithio ar 52 o\u2019r 61 o gynefinoedd a aseswyd pan gyfuniwyd pwysau a raddiwyd yn uchel ac yn ganolig. Roedd pwysau amaethyddol a raddiwyd yn uchel yn effeithio ar bump o\u2019r chwe chynefin d\u0175r croyw a aseswyd.<\/p>\n

Roedd grugieir d\u0175r (Thymallus thymallus<\/em>) ymhlith y rhywogaethau pysgod a gafodd eu dosbarthu fel anfafriol\/annigonol. Fodd bynnag, mae Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru wedi barnu bod y poblogaethau yng Nghymru (Dyfrdwy, Hafren a Gwy) yn sefydlog.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Er bod amaethyddiaeth wedi\u2019i nodi fel pwysau mawr, y sector hwn hefyd oedd yn gyfrifol am y nifer fwyaf o fesurau cadwraeth ar gyfer rhywogaethau a chynefinoedd.<\/p>\n

Mae hyn yn codi cwestiwn: a yw\u2019r mesurau a weithredwyd i fynd i\u2019r afael ag effeithiau\u2019r sector ffermio ar gynefinoedd d\u0175r croyw Cymru yn effeithiol? Ac a yw\u2019r gofynion cyfreithiol i sicrhau diogelu Ardaloedd Cadwraeth Arbennig yn cael eu bodloni? Byddai\u2019r dystiolaeth yn yr asesiad hwn yn awgrymu nad ydynt.<\/p>\n

Gyda\u2019r Seithfed Uwchgynhadledd Afonydd Llywodraeth Cymru yn cael ei chynnal heddiw, mae\u2019r adroddiad yn atgoffa Llywodraeth Cymru a Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru o\u2019r angen i fynd i\u2019r afael \u00e2\u2019r sector sydd, ar gyfer y rhan fwyaf o afonydd yng Nghymru, yn cael yr effaith andwyol fwyaf.<\/p>\n

Mae mentrau ar y gweill. Mae\u2019r rheoliadau ar reoli llygredd amaethyddol yn cael eu gwella ac mae\u2019r rheoleiddiwr wedi hogi ei orfodaeth. Daw\u2019r Cynllun Ffermio Cynaliadwy i rym eleni (er bod amheuon ynghylch faint o effaith a gaiff hyn ar lygredd d\u0175r), mae deddfwriaeth newydd yn cael ei chyflwyno i osod targedau llygredd d\u0175r ac mae rheoleiddiwr d\u0175r newydd i Gymru ar y ffordd.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A fydd hyn yn ddigon i wella\u2019r sefyllfa ar gyfer rhywogaethau a chynefinoedd Cymru? Y prawf, wrth gwrs, fydd a ellir cyflawni statws ffafriol erbyn yr asesiad nesaf. Y ffactor arall fydd a yw cyfran gymharol y sector amaethyddol o\u2019r pwysau ar rywogaethau a chynefinoedd yn lleihau o\u2019r lefelau pryderus a nodwyd yn yr adroddiad hwn.<\/p>\n
