Cath Lehane

The Westminster Bill is another piece of legislation made in England with sections that are inappropriate for Wales

Cath joined WWF Cymru in 2024 as the Agriculture and Freshwater Senior Policy Advisor. Previously she was the Environment and Sustainability lead at Red Tractor – working on topics ranging from water and air quality, carbon and emissions, legislative requirements and regulation, to the land use requirements for grain grown for biofuels – and has held a policy role at the UK Flour Millers’ trade association, with a focus on agricultural production. She has a Master’s in Food Policy from City, University of London, and grew up in North Wales.

On joining the Board of Trustees she said:

“I am excited to join Afonydd Cymru as a Trustee and hope my expertise in agricultural sustainability, water quality, and policy will support Afonydd Cymru’s vital work in improving river quality and driving positive environmental change across Wales.”
