Afonydd Cymru were happy to support the Wye and Usk Foundation, Welsh Water and Herefordshire Council in a visit to existing wetland sites developed and delivered by Norfolk Rivers Trust.
The visits gave a useful insight into how we can progress solutions for nutrient removal from discharges into rivers. Afonydd Cymru are currently working with a number of local authorities in Wales to support them on how rivers trusts can develop nature-based solutions to deliver improvements to our iconic SAC rivers, which have now been identified for phosphate compliance failure.
