New Project Launched To Connect People With Water Environments

Thursday 20th October, 2022

Water consumer group CCWater have today launched a UK-wide initiative to connect more people with the sources of the water that comes out of their taps.

The objective is to raise awareness of the value of water and the impacts we can have on the natural environment through the way we use water at home.

Afonydd Cymru are delighted to support this initiative. The more people that have a good understanding of the connection between domestic water use and the environment, the better the situation for rivers.

Part of the initiative will be to develop and promote specific walks along riverbanks during which people can learn about the wildlife and ecosystems that depend on a clean, plentiful supply of water.

We look forward to working with CCWater in the coming months, developing more walks alongside beautiful Welsh rivers and helping them raise awareness of all of our impacts on these precious habitats.
